Thanks for visiting my website! I am a contemporary landscape artist based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

 

I have always loved drawing – and especially painting – for as far back as I can remember, gaining a degree in art and art history from Aberystwyth University in Wales.

 

As my career in graphic design developed, I had less time to indulge my love of painting but kept up with watercolour, including some coaching abroad for a holiday company, and occasional commissions.

 

In 2021, I relocated from Hampshire to Wiltshire. The move opened up fresh opportunities to pursue my passion for art and music outside of my ongoing full-time role as a graphic designer.

 

Most of my evenings and weekends are spent thinking about – and absorbing, if not doing – all things painting. I've become a bit obsessed with oils over the last couple of years! 

 

Wiltshire and the surrounding areas are constant fresh sources of inspiration for me. I am very fortunate to have the Cotswolds on my doorstep. I also love going back to coastal Wales where I first visited as a student as I relish being by the sea. My dream would be to live there and be a full-time artist!

 

I have always been drawn to music and the beauty of the natural world, in particular landscapes and seascapes. Whatever my chosen subject, I love chasing that fleeting light, trying to capture that special moment that ignites my soul, as well as the interplay of colour and drama. I mainly paint in oil now but still love the spontaneity of working with watercolour. I'm also always happy to give something new a try!

 

I’m often found engaging with others on Instagram, especially with other artists and collectors locally and all around the world. I share recent art progress, personal creative development and inspiration. It’s a good place for collectors to keep up with available work!

 

Whether challenging myself by painting outdoors 'en plein air' or head-down in a studio space, what I love most of all is when my artwork resonates deeply and speaks to someone and makes them smile!
